Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Review

I hope all of you are having a fabulous festive season! I am definitely having alot of fun, which results in me blogging/youtubing so much lesser! Sorry but I promise to have alot more post coming up! :D

Anyway I have been participating in quite a few giveaway done by all you awesome onsugar girlies! (: The very first giveaway I ever won was on Sara's blog. I'm sure all of you are already following her, but if you don't & happen to stumble on my blog then you have to! I really enjoy her blog and chatting with her! (: She is such an amazing girl, so thank you Sara!

So after all the rambling I should totally get to the point of this blog post! I won this clinque lip smoothie from her giveaway and I have been trying this out for awhile! (:

All of us got the same colour in Mango-thon, sucha cute name right? I mean they could have just called it mango but no, it's called mango-thon! haha Honestly the colour does not remind me of mango at all! haha I know the swatch looks really pigmented but it really isn't so pigmented, especially when it is applied to my lips! It is still very gorgeous and is really more neutral on me than the colour you see in the swatch, probably because of the colour of my lips.

Firstly, it comes with a brush applicator ( i should have taken a picture! sorry) so for all of you who dislike the doe-foot applicator, this would be perfect! It kinda reminds me of Stilla's lipglazes, where you twist the bottom to get the product onto the brush! Since you don't get a chance to double dip, it is probably more sanitary.

Clinque advertises it as a lip smoothie which contains vitamin C and antioxidant, which should leave your lips looking and feeling luscious. It does feel nice on the lips, they are not very sticky and it does not dry out your lips at all. Which is great! Since it is not very sticky it does abit of migration on your lips at times. It has micro-shimmers which is not very obvious when you wear but it still adds a certain dimension to your lips, making it look slightly fuller.

It also does not have a scent since clinique is 100% fragrance free and allergy tested, which is amazing for all you girls who have really sensitive skin! It is a gloss so it does not last for hours, I would say maybe about 1-2 hours with eating/drinking.

Swatch on my bare lips, they feel so good! :D It looks super neutral on me yeah? haha Mr Frosty says hi! :D sorry picture was taken after a long day! :p

Hey everyone! :D A huge Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! Well actually alot of people these day kinda 'celebrate' it right? lol

No way, $3 Blush?

As a beauty junkie/guru/obsessed person (whatever you want to call me) I like everyone get really excited when I chance upon cheap & good deals ;) The next thing that makes me really excited is sharing them with you guys! :D We must never keep all the good stuff for ourselves right? haha!

About a month ago, I was introduced to this brand La Femme prior to that I have never heard of this brand! Being the blush addict I am & having sources telling me La Femme make highly pigmented cheap blushes, I was all over it in no time!The next thing I am going to say is going to make you freak out BUT they only cost USD$3! Yes! I am not even kidding!

I placed my first order, still slightly skeptical on the quality of these blushes. When I received them in th mail, I was dying to rip the box apart & use the blush on my face!!haha. I did rip the box apart & there they were. The long awaited cheap-but-highly-pigmented-blush! They came nicely bubble-wrapped which is always nice. It does not have the prettiest packaging (Think : Benefit) but hey for $3 I think it's really pretty good! I got myself 4 colours, just to try it out and I was taken aback on how pigmented these blushes really are! When I was told these blushes were pigmented I didn't expect them to be this pigmented!

The four colours I got - Red, Golden Sunset, Teracotta and Dusty Rose. (wow, they look similar! :/ )

Honestly I think the one let down of this blushes were that they were not compacted as well as I would like them to be. Just swirling your brush in the product results in quite  bit of fall out, but once you have applied it to your cheeks it stays on! I just want to put it out that I am comparing it with brands like MAC, Nars which cost quite a few more times more than La Femme. However, if you do get irritated with fall outs, this is not a blush for you.

For $3 I definitely think these are worth it! Highly highly pigmented (Think Nars), great colours selection, they look good on the skin (not ashy) and they cost so little! (:

Bella Bamba!

Introducing Bella Bamba! (: The newest addition to benefit's box o' powder blushes! I was super excited when I saw this, haha I was jumping around! :D I love their box blushes, I only have 2 of their box o' powder & I love both of them! I use Hoola so much that I have a huge hole in it! I should show you guys a picture some day! :D Being sucha blush whore, i HAD to get this, I mean it knows my name :p haha I saw the swatches yesterday & was super pleased it would be out in the USA today! Which means I don't have to wait too long & the BEST part of all, benefit provides free shipping for even their international benefit junkies! :D How could I resist?

This apparently is watermelon scented! Yumms! Makes me excited! I love that their blushes are scented, might not be the best for thoses of you out there with very sensitive skin though :(  They changed the packaging slightly! Usually the whole top of the box can be removed but not for bella bamba (see picture below) & it's in 3D! Wooots, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) this might be the first makeup product which has a 3D box? I don't know! haha It is a pretty watermelon flush kind of colour, which I think like all other benefit products, will suit every skin tone! That's what I really love about their products! With an exception of 1 or 2 (Think: Dandelion) which will never show up on my skin. All the other products are extremely flattering for everyone! :D

 

The even more exciting part is that, I JUST PLACED MY ORDER WITH BENEFIT! :D hehe I had to get this! Though I've not seen it in person but the swatches are bad enough, they make me weak! However, due to the holiday season, benefit expected arrival date is 7-28 Jan :(  I hope it doesn't take that long!! & I hope it doesn't go out of stock too!

Random thought! Will this be the 'new' coralista? I know most people love/rave/swear by benefit coralista as the most universal blush, but will bella bamba take that spot now? We will find out, when my package comes! :D Woopie

Hey guys!
I know this is probably not even be counted as a legit post, but I really wanted to share with you guys what I bought yesterday! I purchased something else from MAC which I won't be able to feature since it is meant to be a gift (: I went to Kinokuniya and went kinda CRAZY! haha I have been wanting to get magazines for so long but I kept holiding it off! I love going to Kino to browse at all the magazines before getting mine! :)

Was out with gf & her bf, B1. B2. B3 (haha inside joke) we didn't spend super long there but managed to leave with some loots!! 
Yes, that's what I got! :D hehe The Oprah Magazine is for my mum, but I will probably read it too! Some interesting articles like best book of 2010 etc! The rest are mine! haha!I have never bought Allure but it looked good! Lots of beauty snipets!I like!
I was thinking of doing a tutorial on Oprah's cover shot! I really like it, it's like a bronze-y colour with a hint of pink and some berry lips!Pretty! If you have any of these magazines & want to see a tutorial of any of the looks leave a comment below! :D
Oh & I will be away this weekend! So no updates! :( Trying to churn out something before I leave on Friday morning! Just in case I don't get to churn something out, I hope you guys have a great weekend! (:
